Digisound and Digisound Professional by Siren Software and later Alpha Systems, were introduced in 1988 and 1989 respectively. Both Digisound and Digisound Professional are 8-bit Samplers, which are capable of mono sampling frequencies between 5 kHz and 40 kHz. There were two versions as mentioned, irrespective of sub versions, Digisound and Digisound Professional. The latter offering logarithmic sampling, real time mixing and playback through an external amplifier via the output on the sampling cartridge.
