SonicDreams developed by Daniel Skaborn and enhanced by Peter Sansom, was introduced sometime in the early 1990s. It is a Sample Editor allowing editing purely of the Ensoniq Mirage's parameters from your Atari ST. It allows wavetable editing to allow creation of new sounds, which can be dumped via MIDI to the Mirage. SonicDreams is capable of handling 8-bit samples, up to a sampling frequency of 32 kHz. SonicDreams is the predecessor to SonicDreams II similarly developed for the Mirage, but for the Ubuntu platform.
