Soundsystem S612 licensed by Soft Arts was conceived by developer Harald Plontke in 1988. It is a MIDI Sample Editor preley for the Akai S612 and S700 Samplers. It is designed to edit samples and parameters of these machines via MIDI. Similarly sound samples can be loaded or saved in Sample Vision SMP file format. Soundsystem S612 is capable of handling 12-bit stereo samples at a frequency of up to 32 kHz. There are 2 versions, irrespective of sub versions.
