AS Sound Sampler by G-Data was introduced in 1987. It is a Sampler that is believed to have been capable of 8-bit mono sampliing of frequencies between 11.3kHz and 36.4 kHz. It came with a hardware ADC which connected to the Atari ST's Parallel Port, which was adorned with three controls, volume input, volume output and a high pass filter which screens out unwanted frequencies. In it's infancy it was a little error prone, and the following year in 1988, the product was re-packaged as AS Sound Sampler II. AS Sound Sampler II was less buggy, and had improved features such as Intensify and Echo. It similarly came with a hardware ADC which connected to the Atari ST's Parallel Port. There is reportedly an AS Sound Sampler II Maxi+, that had a hardware ADC which plugged into the Cartridge Port, but details are largely unknown.
