ARAnyM is an acronym for Atari Running on Any Machine. It is an emulator of the TOS family of machines. The stated goal of ARAnyM (which the authors describe as a "virtual machine") is to provide a next-generation Atari platform for users running modern hardware.

Features

ARAnyM features 68040 CPU emulation with a JIT (just-in-time) compilation technique and the possibility to use a native VDI graphics drivers. ARAnyM is very fast in comparison with other emulators, due in part its reduced focus on low-level timing-dependant compatibility with . It does, however, emulate enough of the Falcon custom hardware to run TOS 4.04.
