SonicDreams developed by Daniel Skaborn and enhanced by Peter Sansom, was introduced sometime in the early 1990s. It is another Sample Editor dedicated to the editing of the Ensoniq Mirage's parameters via MIDI, similiar to that of ST Sonic Editor. It allows wavetable editing to allow the designing of new sounds, which can be dumped via MIDI to the Mirage. SonicDreams is capable of handling 8-bit samples, up to a frequency of 32 kHz of the Mirage. SonicDreams is the predecessor to SonicDreams II similarly developed for the Mirage, but for the Ubuntu platform.
