Soundfiler by Drumware was first introduced in 1987. Again lile Soundworks, these were a series of individually tailored MIDI Sample Editors. Drumware initially released Soundfiler S612 aka 'Soundfiler ST', followed by Soundfiler X7000 / S700 and Soundfiler S900 in 1988. Features included cross fade looping, frrehand waveform drawing, digital equalisation amongst others. They of course catered for the Akai S612, Akai S700, Akai and Akai S900 range of 8 to 12-Bit Samplers.
