Turbosynth by Digidesign was another of their software releases to be ported in 1989 from the Mac, like Sound Designer in the same year. It is a Universal MIDI Sample Editor that offered modular synthesis. With Turbosynth you can create wavetables, and edit samples to send via MIDI to the likes of the Akai S700, Akai X7000, Akai S900, Akai S950, Korg DSS-1, Korg DSM-1, Ensoniq EPS, Ensoniq Mirage, Casio FZ-1, Casio FZ-10M, Sequential Circuits Prophet 2000, Roland S-10, Roland S-220, Roland MKS-100, Roland S-50, Roland S-550 and Roland S-330 Samplers. It provides support for MIDI SDS, providing drivers for 12 and 16-bit Samplers respectively.
