ARCHIVING ON A REAL ATARI MACHINE (ST, MEGAST, TT, FALCON).

STEEM DISK IMAGER

This tool is great and it even works with some protected games. Unfortunately it creates .STT image, which is compatible with Steem only and it can't be re-written on original floppy disk. Prefer this tool for strange disks.

STT files are recognized by Steem emulator. If the original disk wasn't protected, you can easily convert .STT into .ST or .MSA files with MSA Converter on the PC.

  1. Here is how to use Steem Disk Archiver: run Steem Disk Imager on the Atari
  2. click on 'Next' then enter a name for the image-disk
  3. click on 'Next' then click on 'Floppy'
  4. insert the floppy you want to image, and click on 'Start'
  5. insert a blank disk when prompted. click on 'Continue'
  6. if the image-disk doesn't fit on a floppy, the program will automatically split it on both floppies
  7. once the images generated on one or two floppies, store all files on your PC. Run the program 'DISKJOIN.EXE' in order to join both images.
  8. you finished! Remember: this kind of file works with Steem only.
