To create Wiki-format tables with ease, there's a new Excel-based util (Office users only) hidden in the forum here. Enter your text in as many columns & rows as you need .. then click a button, select the worksheet and the program creates a text file which contains your data in neat Wiki-format ready to paste onto a page in here. You can even copy & paste text from the Wiki pages into Excel and then back out again in Wiki-format to help tidy up the existing pages!

The old VBScript based util is still in the Wiki area of the forum but it will only create empty tables.
