Sample Master Plus by AVR (Audio Visual Research) also known as 2 Bit Systems, was released circa 1991. It is an 8-bit mono Sampler capable of frequencies of up to 25 kHz, using the AVR file format. The GUI is very much the same as the Replay series of Samplers pre Stereo Replay, which were of course also developed by 2 Bit Systems. The software is compatible with the ST(E) range of computers, and came 'bundled' with the 'Atari Application Series' of tutorials, specifically An Introduction to Sound & Music tutorial. This tutorial also came with Atari's Music Maker and Music Maker Plus.
