Brief history

HMD was founded between 1988-1989 by SkyRace and Gluev. During a phone discussion they spoke about HEMOROIDS as a groupname. For the record, SkyRace (14 years old at dis time) thought that Hemoroids name a star, and thought it sounded nice in his ear, it was far from the true origin of the world ;)). Quickly the group produced a lot's of several small productions. In 1990, HMD made it's real first big production participating at the demo-competion organized by GENERATION 4 ,a french game-video magazine. But the production which made HMD known was the Hemosound and later Hemosound 2. (Atari demo with Amiga Modules, it changed Soundchips)

It was a fashion in the early 90 to make alliances with other groups. The group primarily was in two alliances: The Stranglers (HMD + FUZION + IMPACT) and The Guild (HMD + IMPACT). Despite the good will of persons, this has not prevented a lot of members of the group who have started to do intros and compilations, to be forget with the time (as too often). Few survived at the long alliance and time but evidence that there was a sort of competition between groups.

The group also participated in many megademos (demo with several screens of different groups) like the Phaleon Gigademo by NEXT (originally it was a project of The Replicants) or the European demo by The OVERLANDERS. Between 1990-1991, new members had arrived, including Sink who had taken over SkyRaces job as leader because he left the group to focus on another computer scene (Cracking and Hacking). Gluev (one of the original founders) was kicked.

The group was present at every party for Atari ST and a lot of them happened in France (for example Transbeauce and Megafun). The Amiga section was created near spring of the year 1992 by STC. Between 1993-1994, a section PC was created by Black Label.

The group come back in 2013 with full of new members like Angel, Kelly X, Pandafox, Ayoros, Shooters and the help of Kenët.
Rebirth, Black n'White, Jukebox and Happy New Year 2014 are new productions on the CODEF project by Antoine Santo and we participated at the CODEF megademo for the fun ! We made a new intro Return who is an Atari STE production for the Silly Venture 2013 who finished at the 2nd place at the 96k demos compo.
