Sondigit developed by Didier Mequignon, was conceived in 1987. There have been 4 versions of Sondigit, with the last being Sondigit 4 released as Freeware in 2001, irrespective of sub versions. In it's last edition, it is a 16-bit Sampler capable of stereo sampling frequencies of up to 44.1 kHz (Atari Falcon only). It can handle SPL, AVR, WAV, AIFF and DVSM file formats. Sample Rates across the Atari TOS range is as follows:

  • ST: 5.5 kHz to 32 kHz
  • STE / TT: 6.25 kHz to 50 kHz
  • Falcon: 8.195 kHz to 44.1 kHz
