The WD1772 (Western digital 1772) is the chip used to control and drive the floppy-drive in the ST range of computers create between (year?) and (year?). It was preceded by the WD1770, and replaced with the (??) in the Falcon 030 and (??)

Modification

- WD1772 can be overclocked to allow reading and writing of high density disks.
